Indian Rocks and Four Parks: A Mindful Walk with some Tai Chi along the way. 1:30-4 PM.
Amble through a beautiful North Berkeley neighborhood, garnished with gardens, trees, hidden walkways, parks, elegant architecture, and ancient rocks and Indian gathering places. We’ll stop along the way for nature readings and lessons in the meditative art of Tai Chi. Wear comfortable shoes.

5/21/06, Sunday. Stephen will appear on Brian Kirwin's KWMR, 89.3 & 90.5 FM, radio show between 4-6 PM, reading from his books and singing some original songs. Listen on the web via a live stream at KWMR. Just click the On Air button.

9/16/06, Saturday. Stephen has been invited to the Sonoma County Book Festival in Santa Rosa CA, and will appear at a panel discussion on Nature on the Page, at 3 PM in the Arts Gallery at 529 Fifth St. in downtown Santa Rosa. Other panelists include Arthur Dawson (Saying This Place Right), Elizabeth Herron(In the Cities of Sleep) and Rebecca Lawton (Reading Water: Lessons from the River) . After the panel, books of the panalists, including The Mindful Hiker, will be available for purchase. Stephen will be available to sign books. The event is free.
Spring, 2007. Watch for details for a walk Stephen will be leading in Berkeley in conjunction with Pharmaca, the natural pharmacy on Solano Avenue. The walk will be drawn from Hidden Walks in the East Bay and Marin.
